The single biggest problem in this trade is aftermarket parts being sold as genuine. Every quote I send states the grade explicitly, so you decide what you're paying for.
Genuine — Mercedes-Benz packaging
Original part in sealed factory packaging with the MB part number. The highest grade, and the right choice for safety-critical and warranty work.
Genuine — without factory packaging
The same original part, supplied loose or in supplier packaging. Identical quality, noticeably better price.
OEM supplier brand
Made by the same manufacturer that supplies Mercedes — Bosch, Hella, Valeo, Sachs, Bilstein, Lemförder — in their own box.
Used genuine
Original parts removed from low-mileage vehicles, inspected and photographed. Often the only route for discontinued and classic parts.
Quality aftermarket
Reputable aftermarket manufacturers for non-critical and cosmetic items. Clearly labelled as aftermarket — always.
